When I got my Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker I was so excited to make every recipe in the little booklet that comes with it. But, after trying a few I honestly felt like I could create something better. Scouring the internet, TikTok, and Pinterest for Ninja Creami Recipes most of what I found was “high protein” ice cream or “low fat” ice cream recipes and that was just not at all what I was looking for.

So I tested out a few different methods and the one I developed in my opinion, creates the best Ninja Creami Ice Cream Recipes ever.

How to Make Ice Cream In Ninja Creami

The trick to making really good ice cream in your Ninja Creami comes down to the ingredients and making sure you’re using your Ninja Creami correctly. What ingredients should you use to make ice cream in your Ninja Creami?

Ingredients

Whole Milk

  • I am a big fan of alternatives to dairy, but when it comes to my Ninja Creami recipes I most often choose whole milk. It allows the ice cream to blend smoothly and has an extra creamy flavor profile. But, I am working on a vegan Ninja Creami Recipe, so stay tuned for that.

Heavy Cream

  • Heavy cream helps in giving the ice cream its smooth texture and rich flavor. I’ve tried leaving out the heavy cream and the ice cream just isn’t as good.

Instant Pudding

  • Instant pudding is the secret to the best Ninja Creami ice cream. The pudding creates the creamy, dreamy texture and provides most of the flavor to the ice cream.

White Sugar

  • White sugar is the sweetener I most often use in my ice cream, but brown sugar and coconut sugar both work well, just be sure you mix the ice cream enough to fully dissolve the sugar before freezing.

Are Ninja Creami Recipes Healthy? 

Listen- if health is what you’re looking for in your ice cream recipes, then there’s a ton of recipes out there for you. My Ninja Creami ice cream recipes create a soft serve, decadent, ice cream that reminds me of the home churned ice cream my grandfather made growing up. So, if that’s not what you’re after, then those other recipes might be a better fit.

How to Make Ice Cream in a Ninja Creami!

  • Mix the ingredients together until the sugar is fully dissolved.

  • Freeze in the Ninja Creami container overnight.

  • Blend on the “ice cream” setting.

  • Enjoy!

It’s so easy and creates the most amazing soft serve texture.

Variations

I’ll be sharing a ton more recipes for Ninja Creami Ice Cream, but this Pistachio Ice Cream recipe can act as a base.  It’s as simple as swapping out the pudding for another flavor like chocolate instant pudding, vanilla instant pudding, or butterscotch instant pudding. Jell-O can work too, but I’ll share more on that another day.

Tips for Using Ninja Creami

  • Always freeze the ice cream at least 8 hours before mixing in your Ninja Creami.

  • Be sure your frozen ice cream surface is flat before mixing it in the Ninja Creami machine to avoid breaking the blade or damaging the machine.

  • After you mix your ice cream use a warm, wet cloth or paper towel to clean the exposed metal bit that’s attached to the machine where the mixing happens. This isn’t obvious and should be wiped after every use for food safety purposed.

Ninja Creami Ice Cream Recipe Pistachio

This pistachio ice cream is the easiest ice cream you'll ever make.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons Pistachio Instant Pudding
  • 1/3 cup white sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium sized mixing bowl combine the milk, heavy cream, pudding mix, and sugar. Whisk together until the sugar is dissolved.
  2. Pour into Ninja Creami container.
  3. Freeze overnight, at least 8 hours.
  4. Follow the instructions on the Ninja Creami and mix on the "ice cream" setting.
  5. Enjoy
